A pre-wedding shoot is certainly not a new thing but still lots of couples don’t take advantage of it.
It’s a wonderful way to get to know your photographer ahead of your wedding day and importantly for your photographer to get to know you.
I hear lots of times from couples how they do not like having their photo taken. My job as a photographer is to make couples feel at ease and to enjoy the whole experience.
What Happens at a Pre-Wedding Shoot?
I’ve done a couple of pre-wedding shoots this year. The sessions gave us both things to work on as well as instilling confidence in each other for the big day. It helps to add to the overall excitement of your wedding as you can tell me about your day and we can have a stroll and take some photos along the way.
We can go to your venue, a park, a city centre. Wherever you want to go. We spend about an hour together and you get all the edited images sent to you on line. You can download them and keep them.
I suggest to wear layers as you never quite know how the weather will be and of course it can then look like you’ve had a change of outfits! And perhaps plain clothing is best, minimal logos/print. It’s really whatever you’re comfortable in.
I’m always desperate to get home and look at what we’ve captured. It’s great to get feedback once couples receive their images. There are some lovely products too where you can use an image or two to make a guest book for your wedding or a signing frame.
I certainly would recommend a pre-wedding shoot and I offer it complimentary within some packages and as an add on. You can take a look at my packages and pricing here
